For over ten years my wife and I have been organising food parcels for the homeless in Manchester, providing free catering for community events, and supporting bereaved families in Pakistan. We have supported widows and orphans in their everyday life with food, clothing, and funding for education, weddings, and business start-ups. Due to growing demand for our services in the UK and abroad, and our history in charitable projects, our charity was successfully registered with the UK Charities commission in March 2021. This has enabled us to think bigger and launch a project that will create opportunities for struggling families to aspire to educational and economic independence.
In the past we provided support and training, but the need for our services has never decreased. This led us to the realisation that we have to offer much more to enable families to become independent and stand on their own two feet, and so we conceived the Karram Illahi Centre. In this enclosed community widowed families, Orphans, and the homeless will receive free housing, vocational training, medical aid, education and leisure facilities.
